After waiting one year for a Poco product, they finally launched their new mobile named Poco X2 in February 2020. Poco became a separate brand in India to offer tough competition for the Realme brand.
Poco X2 isn’t the successor of Poco F1 but it’s some great specifications at that price point of view.
But the sad news is that they just rebranded the Redmi K30 (China) and renamed it as Poco X2 and launched globally.
We’ll realize Xiaomi’s another sub-brand named Poco and launched their first mobile Poco F1 in 2018 with flagship specifications at the very low price range and Poco F1 is one among the simplest mobile launched in 2018 and it won numerous awards and appreciations from the critics and reviewers moreover Poco F1 became the phone of the year 2018.
After taking some long gap, Poco launched this mobile Poco X2 in 2020. But the dissatisfaction among all folks is that they just rebranded the Redmi K30 mobile in China and named it as Poco X2 and launched it globally.
And we’ll expect the successor of Poco F1 with flagship specifications but they launched mid-range mobile at the worth range of ₹16k.

Build quality and style:
Now, Come to the planning and build of Poco X2, the phone comes with a premium-looking glossy finish at the rear.
They used glass and aluminum material everywhere, maybe because they wanted to urge a far better premium round out of it. The planning seems to seem more like their other old devices from Xiaomi, except fingerprint sensor placement everything seems to be almost an equivalent.
On the front, there’s a 6.67″ FHD+ display board which looks great. With the side-mounted fingerprint scanner within the right of the mobile.
Display Review:
Poco X2 comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400. and therefore the highlight during this mobile is a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The display colors are more towards blue tint which looks more vivid and dark. But still, the screen is basically very great. Watching movies and playing games will offer you some great experience.
The daylight legibility of Poco X2 is additionally excellent, while on auto-brightness or manual brightness screen quality is good in sunlight. Poco X2 also has the Widevine L1 certification to watch the OTT apps in HD quality.
It means users can enjoy high-resolution content from streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Overall the screen for movies and games and daily use is sweet.
Processor and Performance :
The Poco X2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor with the support of 6GB RAM / 8GB RAM to urge the graceful performance in day to day usage. In my review time I even have not seen any lag in their UI.
While playing PUBG Mobile, I experienced a smooth rendering even in a better setting. The sport is functioning with no lag and no frame drops.
This point Poco X2 is coming with UFS 2.1 storage which is far faster than a traditional storage memory, which is typically seen in last generation flagship smartphones.
Camera review:
Coming to the camera it supports 4k video with 30fps. Start with the Quad camera setup on the back of the Poco X2, it’s a 64 MP main sensor with f/1.9, 26mm (wide), coming to the secondary camera we get an 8 MP, f/2.2, 13mm ultrawide camera, now this is often not enough for Poco x2, we also get a 2 MP, f/2.4, a macro lens for closures and eventually, at last, we get a depth sensor for two MP, f/2.4 for portrait shots.
The daylight photos seem to be quite good but if you turn within the HDR mode they become better, with good color, saturation, and even clarity. Overall the rear camera seems to be decent and macro shots are great.
Now coming to the 20MP +2MP front camera, Selfie’s clicked using Poco X2 comes really very great. you’ll also get a portrait mode within the front camera also.
So, I even have no complaints with the 20MP selfie camera of Poco X2.
Battery and Fast charging:
This is the opposite better part of this smartphone, Poco X2 comes up with a huge 4,500mAh battery which lasts really long and it’s 27W fast charging technology, and fills up this big battery in no time.
Poco X2 also supports reverse charging technology and may charge other devices sort of a mobile power bank.
Thanks to the AI software optimizations, for a moderate user the battery will easily last quite 1 day and if you’re in very aggressive usage it’ll easily last you each day.
This suggests you would like to not worry about the battery while using the phone, it’ll last you long.
And therefore the neatest thing is you don’t have to buy a 27W fast charger separately, the 27W fast charger is going to be within the box.
Software and User Interface:
Out of the box, Poco X2 comes up with Android Pie with the skin of MIUI 11 running on top of it.
The UI seems to be very smooth and lag-free.
There are many new small features like eye protection, power-saving mode, which can assist you in day to day usage. And we’ll realize MIUI. It contains some ads and bloatware in their UI.
